Joshua Wandler joined Narwal Litigation LLP as a summer articled student in 2022 and subsequently returned to the firm in 2023 to complete his full articles. Before returning as an articled student, Joshua attended Peter A. Allard School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor.

Prior to attending law school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminology and Certificate in Legal Studies at Simon Fraser University, graduating with distinction. The various criminal law courses he completed while attending Simon Fraser University influenced his decision to attend law school and pursue a career in criminal law.

During his first year of law school, Joshua volunteered extensively with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), providing pro bono legal advice to low-income individuals in both criminal and civil law. In the summer of 2021, Joshua worked for LSLAP as a Clinic Head, leading a team of law students by ensuring the smooth operation of LSLAP’s North Shore Clinic.

In his second year of law school, Joshua gained significant experience in criminal law by competing in the Peter Burns Mock Trial Competition, which involved running a mock murder trial. Joshua gained further exposure to criminal law when he participated in UBC’s Criminal Law Clinic, defending clients in a variety of summary criminal matters.

Joshua has appeared before both the Supreme and Provincial Courts of British Columbia. Most notably, while completing his summer articles, he juniored Mr. Narwal in a high-stakes criminal trial at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
