Joven Narwal Authors Paper for 2014 CBA National Criminal Justice Conference

Vancouver criminal Lawyer, Joven Narwal, was honoured to be selected to author a paper regarding admissibility of expert evidence for the 2014 Canadian Bar Association (CBA) National Criminal Justice Conference. The Conference entitled “Crime and Persuasion: How to Get Through the Evidentiary Motion” focused on advocacy in pre-trial motions and featured panels composed of the most experienced and senior judges and criminal trial counsel.

Ming Pao Daily News Interviews Joven Narwal Regarding Recent Customs Act Enforcement Activity by the CBSA

Vancouver Criminal Defence Lawyer, Joven Narwal, was interviewed by Ming Pao Daily News regarding increased enforcement activity by the Canadian Border Services Agency in relation to investigations of suspected Customs Act violations by those travelling to and from China.  Mr. Narwal explained the importance of retaining counsel as early as possible in the context of these investigations as convictions may carry severe penalties and have collateral consequences on immigration status and proceedings.

Cheryl D’Sa to Speak at UBC Law Panel on Boutique Law Firms

Ms. D’Sa will discuss the many benefits of boutique firms, both for lawyers and clients as well as specifically discussing her own practice as a plaintiff personal injury lawyer. The lawyers from Narwal Litigation will then attend UBC’s annual Small & Boutique Firm Wine & Cheese Reception at the Sutton Place Hotel in downtown Vancouver tomorrow evening. Cheryl D’Sa to Speak at CIRA Medical Services Seminar on Chronic Pain

The Firm is pleased to announce that Cheryl D’Sa will be speaking at a CIRA Medical Services Seminar entitled “Chronic Pain: A Multidisciplinary Approach”. Ms. D’Sa is the only Plaintiff Personal Injury Lawyer invited to speak at the event and will be offering insight on recent British Columbia Supreme Court cases involving psychological aspects of chronic pain.

2013 Peter Burns Trial Competition

We are proud to congratulate the participants of the 2013 Peter Burns Trial Competition at the University British Columbia, Faculty of Law. The competition provides a select set of law  students with a unique opportunity to take part in a complex trial before a panel of Provincial Court Judges.
