Joven Narwal KC has been named Chair of the Judicial Council of the Tsawwassen First Nation.

The Tsawwassen Constitution Act and Administrative Review And Judicial Proceedings Act created the Judicial Council as a branch of its government responsible for resolving disputes that arise on Tsawwassen Lands, resolving disputes between Tsawwassen Members and Elected Officials, hearing appeals from administrative decisions and adjudicating challenges to the validity of Tsawwassen Laws. It is composed of five members appointed by the Executive Council and is led by the Chair.

Mr. Narwal KC has served as a member of the Judicial Council since 2020.
