Alexandre joined Narwal Litigation LLP as an associate after completing his articles with our firm and another Vancouver-based leading criminal defence firm. Originally from Quebec, he attended McGill University Faculty of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2022.

Prior to attending law school, Alexandre completed an Integrated Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Modern Languages at Université Laval. He lived in Mexico and Brazil, where he learned Spanish and Portuguese. He is also fluent in French, his mother tongue.

Alexandre remained involved with multiple organizations throughout the course of his law degree. He worked for the Mobile Legal Clinic, a Montreal-based legal clinic providing help to indigent individuals on a broad range of topics. He was also a volunteer with Innocence McGill and Criminal Law McGill, where he organized multiple events for students interested in criminal law. These events included panels with prominent Quebec criminal law lawyers, as well as visits to Montreal’s courthouse.

During the summer of 2020, Alexandre worked as a Parole Officer for Correctional Service Canada. This experience was highly formative for him, as he was directly exposed to the long-term consequences that sentencing and incarceration have on individuals. This exposure crystallized his desire to vigorously defend the rights of his clients.

During his last year of law school, Alexandre volunteered with Montreal Legal Aid, where he assisted counsel on a broad range of criminal files. He was simultaneously a Teaching Assistant (TA) for Criminal Justice, the course which introduces criminal law to first-year students at McGill University. Lastly, Alexandre clerked under The Honourable Robert Hamel, Q.C.J., at the Court of Québec, Youth Division.
